My Simple Roast Chicken

Hello.....

The other day I was in the mood for some comfort food & decided to make a whole roasted chicken.......stuffed with aromatics & roasted on a bed of veggies.........

Sorry you guys....no measurements........ikut suka hati, mau banyak or kurang.....ok....one whole chicken, fresh rosemary leaves, potatoes, carrots, lemon, celery (in my case.....terlupa mau beli), garlic, big onions, butter, olive oil, salt & pepper to taste. The preparations.........smear some olive oil & butter to the chicken, sprinkle it with a little salt & pepper, & stuff with lemon & fresh rosemary. Scatter the chopped veggies, garlic & big onions in the roasting pan and then set the chicken on top. Roast them for about 45min to 1 hour.
To make the gravy.......remove from oven and place the chicken, carrots & potatoes on a serving platter. Add flour and stirring constantly, cook for about 2-3 minutes. You guys can pour in some "arak" if you want to....wink* wink*......and let it simmer. After that, I blend my gravy!

I served it with baked potatoes, carrots, boiled cauliflower with butter & baked beans!!!! This recipe makes my shabby home smell heavenly....it came out rather well. The meat was juicy & tender!!!!!

Tiramisu

Hello peeps.........

Well the other nite...can't remember when........I made "Tiramisu" for the girls!!!!!!!.......Mula-mula tu indada confident jua lah.......but the recipe is really friendly, so everything turned out perfectly.

It's a great recipe!! Give it a try!!! Delicious & easy. My hubby & the girls really liked it!!!!.....you guys will not be disapointed!!!!!!

Ingredients:

Ladyfingers / Sponge Cake
250gm Cream Cheese (ganti tu mascarpone cheese.....mahal kan tu barang...wink* wink*)
150ml Yogurt (but I'm using whipped cream) + 1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup - Castor Sugar
150 ml hot water + 1 tbsp jelly powder
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup brewed coffee/nescafe....or you can add some "arak" in it...Wink* Wink*
Cocoa Powder

Directions:

1) Beat whipped cream & cream cheese, add milk & vanilla, and then add the jelly water.

2) Dip ladyfingers/sponge cake in coffee & arrange them in a bowl.

3) Spread the cream cheese mixture over the ladyfingers.

4) Chill for an hour.

5) Sprinkle with cocoa just before serving.

A few nights before we went to 1Borneo again.....pasal c Cha mau ke BooBoo Land...AGAIN..........After that, we had dinner at The Manhattan Fish Market...........

memang crunchy & tasty......

Hubby's food.......Manhattan Fish & Chips......

tapi my hubby chose rice instead.......

All time favourite.....kununlah...

A huge fish fillet fried in delicious batter....

but not as huge as Fish & Co..........I meant the fish.....

My food......Grilled Norwegian King Salmon Fillet, Naturally grilled in basic salt & pepper topped with Manhattan garlic butter sauce, this one I like.........not too garlicy taste macam d Fish & Co., I really liked my salmon........loveeee the salad dressing!!!!

Overall...great food & nice place....but the price were a bit high compared to Fish & Co.

Here is my garden.....everything has been blooming for a good while now and is still continuing, psssst....inda jua banyak lah....but....I'm sooooo very happy with my garden..........That is just what I wanted......lots & lots of flowers!!!!

1Borneo (8th June 2008: Sunday)

YESSSSS PEEPSSS......again.........& this is all because of BOO BOO LAND!!!!!.........hmmmm blame it on Hubby's friend.......sapa suruh bejiran sama BOO BOO LAND?????.....BOOHOO!!!

The weather was good yeasterday....but the traffic.......ayoyoyoyo......."teribol"!!!!!!....We were lucky we manage to get a parking at the valet parking lot........so inda berapa jauh lah jalan.......

"Cinderalla".....I would say they do have nice & cute slipper there.....hmmmmm

We spend nearly an hour at the Boo Boo Land....again.............

& after that.........Dome.......Yes...yes.....yes please......

My "village" hubby ordered Nasi Lemak with chicken rendang

......at the DOME!!!!.....how "village" is that???? BUT......it turns out to be super delicious....hochiak!!!!!......serious Whimsy.......

I ordered my usual.......(pssssst...ada temberang sikit kah bunyi nya...hahahahahah).....Gourmet Chicken & Mushroom pie............BUT......Whimsy....cuba u look at the pastry......bida kan.......the taste pun not the same.........

Our food total bill cost us RM90++........how frugal is that????
